Who we are
A place for builders
At the interplay between craft, tradition, and innovation, Skillit is an AI-powered network that helps over 200,000 people find impactful construction work with the skills they already have. We leverage the power of our platform to connect craft professionals with the people and projects in need of their skills to achieve the best outcomes for everyone.
Whether just entering the trades or masters at them, members grow in their trade better than with word of mouth alone. We help deliver a direct path to higher earning potential, from discovery to interview coaching to ___. Starting with access to the most critical projects shaping the country, our members are empowered to choose where they will thrive most, whether helping build a hyperscale data center in Dallas or a semiconductor fab in Phoenix.
Since 2021, our mission has been to give everyone access to construction’s greatest opportunities. Our long term vision is to scale the world’s craft, so that anyone can build anything, anywhere.
We are continuously working to interpret live demand from America’s top contractors, and intelligently route our members to the right project, place and moment. While we work to expand our network, we are committed to understanding the diverse interests across a range of demographics and specialized occupations, and keeping the tradition of technical excellence, authenticity, and uniqueness.
How we work together
Everything our society relies on, from housing and roads to railways, energy systems, manufacturing, and now AI-infrastructure, has always depended on people with hands-on, hard-earned skills. As we build the biggest network of craft professionals in America, we are committed to giving our members the best experience on Skillit.
Projects are always on safety-first sites.

Delivering access
Today, as a historic infrastructure buildout unfolds, 9 out of 10 contractors say they can’t find the workers they need. Skillit is shifting the conversation from workforce scarcity to talent access. We work with journalists to share data-driven stories on construction, labor, and workforce trends.
Founded by a craft pro
Skillit is solving one of the world’s hardest and most stubborn problems. The industry has spent decades assuming a labor shortage, and therefore that the solution is to build machines or train more people, but our founder’s path made him question that underlying assumption.
Construction, it turns out, isn’t fundamentally constrained by a shortage of workers, but by a lack of digital access to the 95% of workers it already has. That insight became the foundation for Skillit.

The people behind Skillit
Like the craftspeople in our network, we use technology as a partner, accelerator and automator of busywork, not a substitute for judgment or craftsmanship.
We’re looking for people who take craft seriously
Skillit runs on the same traits we see in the workers we serve: agency, judgment, stamina, and a commitment to doing the work right. We’re building something that matters to the people who make our physical world. If that’s the kind of work you want to do, we want to hear from you.
