🚀 ABOUT THE ROLE

As Skillit’s first in-house Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll be the first point of contact for potential customers, helping to drive the sales pipeline by qualifying leads, setting meetings, and supporting the growth of our customer base. Your role will be critical in building relationships with prospects, educating them on our platform, and generating new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless sales process.

 

🏋️‍♀️ WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify inbound and outbound leads through research, cold calling, email outreach, and social media (LinkedIn).

  • Outbound Prospecting: Proactively reach out to potential customers in the construction industry to introduce Skillit’s platform and services, building strong relationships with decision-makers.

  • Sales Enablement: Leverage CRM tools (such as Salesforce or HubSpot) to track prospect activity, manage lead pipeline, and provide detailed feedback on lead generation efforts.

  • Product Education: Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and deliver a brief product overview tailored to their pain points and business challenges.

  • Set Appointments: Schedule qualified demos and meetings for the Account Executives to further engage with prospects and close deals.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized and efficient pipeline of leads, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle.

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing to refine messaging and ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and sales outreach.

 

đź’ˇ QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or a similar role—ideally in a B2B/SaaS environment.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written—able to engage with prospects at all levels and build rapport quickly.

  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, etc.) and a strong understanding of how to track and manage leads.

  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and resilient—you thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Team player mentality—working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals.

  • Bonus: Experience in the con-tech industry is a plus.
