Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of carpentry job tasks that may include construction, fabrication, framing, installation and dismantling work.
Work with fixtures of wood, metal and other accessories
Read and interpret instructions, blueprints, plans and specifications to execute carpentry tasks with precision
Document, plan and execute work activities independently and as part of a team
Prioritize safety in all aspects of work by adhering to safety regulations and guidelines
Demonstrate proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools used in construction carpenter jobs.
Ensure effective communication with the team and seek clarifications when necessary
Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all carpentry tasks to ensure high quality craftsmanship
Qualifications
For Carpenter Job:
Understanding of basic carpentry techniques: woodwork, framing, finishing, flooring, cabinetry and dry wall installation.
Experience in commercial, industrial or civil construction with strong carpentry skills. The more experience, the higher the demand.
Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling wood, metal and other building materials for general carpentry jobs.
Must own current and valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (car/van)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, building codes, etc.
Experience using various hand and power tools required for carpentry jobs – saws, drills, hammers, chisels and nail guns.
Able to understand and follow instructions
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, scaffolds and roofs as needed.
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand, kneel or bend for a long period.
Must pass background check and drug screen
Certain construction carpenter jobs may require specialized certifications such as for framing, cabinetry, concrete framework, etc.
Understanding safety regulations. OSHA safety certification and other construction safety trainings are a plus.
