Request More Info Feature

Did you ever see a candidate in your Skillit search query that seemed like they could be a good fit for the position, but the profile is not complete enough to make that decision? Oftentimes workers simply need prompting to encourage them to provide more information on their Skillit profile. The new Skillit feature “Request More Info” can help you do this quickly and efficiently.

How to use the “Request More Info” feature

When you click on a worker that appears in your search query, there are several options. If you click the dropdown under “More” you will see a few new options. One of these is “Request More Info”. Once you click on this, you will be taken to the “Request More Info” section of the profile.

You can request more info for “About Me”, “Additional Work Experience” or request that the worker take an assessment.

Request More Info can help you:

  1. Have workers fill out the “About Me” section: Often this is overlooked by worker’s filling out profiles but is a good way to see if the candidate would be a good fit.

  2. Provide additional work experience: Extensive work experience can be passed over by workers trying to get their profile live quickly, but that does not diminish the value to recruiters. With the “Request more info” feature you can simply send a request to the worker to add more work experience and provide you with a more complete picture of the worker and their past experience.

  3. Take an assessment: Assessments allow experts in their craft to showcase their knowledge and experience in the field and provide recruiters with added confidence that the candidate is right for the position. They are a good way to test if a worker is prepared for the job you have open. If you want a worker to take an assessment to test their knowledge, simply select “Take an Assessment” and select the assessment that is appropriate for the position.

Just because a worker’s information on their Skillit profile may be incomplete does not mean they are not qualified for the position. Given the overall labor shortage, it is important to get as much information as possible from a potential candidate to expand the pool of qualified workers and ensure the position is filled. Using the “Request more info” feature will help you get critical information on workers appearing in search queries and give you the confidence to schedule them for an interview.
