June Skillit product updates

Skillit is always looking for ways to improve the product to ensure that the user experience is fast, thorough and aligns with current processes. That is why many of our feature upgrades are built with customer input.

This month we added a few new features that will help recruiting teams collaborate with ease, allow product access for workers and users to be quicker and easier, as well as a new added filter which adds and important layer to craft worker searches and ensures even more accurate results for recruiter searches. Let’s dive into each feature individually.

‘Contacted by’ tags

When teams of recruiters are all using Skillit to source craft workers, oftentimes they share multiple responsibilities through the hiring process. In order to make this process efficient and transparent, Skillit has added a tag to worker profiles showing if a worker has already been contacted, who contacted them and how long ago they were contacted. This helps avoid confusion with multiple users from the same team and allows teams to collaborate on how to reengage a worker or know if they are a fit or not.

Years of experience filters

Skillit’s robust, construction specific, AI-powered search engine is able to sift through 150K workers on the Skillit platform in seconds and display the best candidates for every search done by our users. Recruiters are able to check specific skills that the worker must have in order to be successful fit for the position. However, all skills are not created equal.

Some workers have 2 years of experience with a skill, others have 20. If recruiters know how much experience candidates need to have to be successful at the position, they can now add years of experience to the search and Skillit will provide the top candidates that match that filter. This eliminates the need to review the profile for this crucial information and focus on the most qualified candidates. This helps recruiters engage candidates faster through Sam and have confidence the worker has the right experience and skills necessary for the position.

SSO with Microsoft and Google accounts

Single sign-on (SSO) has become a prominent part of quick account access for software, allowing users to leverage an account from a big provider as their sign on to other accounts. This avoids the need to store multiple passwords and reduces struggles with sign-on.

Skillit implemented this for our users and workers to ensure quick access to the platform to ensure that login issues do not slow the process down. Users can now sign in using their Microsoft or Google accounts.

Note: SSO only works by using the same email that you used to sign up for Skillit.

Check back next month to see what new features Skillit has added.
