Introducing the new interviews page: One place for every Sam-powered conversation

Skillit is built for speed. In fact, it is the fastest way to source skilled craft workers. To further improve the process Skillit recognized the need for a single dashboard where recruiting teams can track candidates, review progress, and stay in sync on all the workers Sam is engaging.

With Skillit’s new Interviews Page, you can track every Sam-powered interview in one place. Whether you’re hiring for a single role or juggling multiple searches across job sites and trades, this page gives you real-time clarity and control.

What you’ll find on the Interviews Page:

  • Live Interview Status: See what’s in progress, what’s stalled, and what’s done. Need to reschedule, cancel, follow up, or mark a candidate as hired? You can do all of this with one click, further simplify the outreach and candidate management process.

  • Overall Match Breakdown: Quickly assess how each worker stacks up against your job criteria, skill by skill, language by language. This helps you understand the best fits for the position before making your next move.

  • Playback + Transcription: For completed interviews, listen to the full recording, read the transcription, or check out Sam’s AI-generated summary, all on one page.

  • Cross-Search Visibility: No more bouncing between searches or tabs. The Interviews Page provides a unified view of all candidates Sam has engaged, across every open search.

Why we built this feature:

Skillit’s mission is to solve the labor shortage by making skilled craft workers and their skills more visible to construction recruiters and facilitate a seamless connection to streamline the hiring process, thus removing or mitigating the risk that comes with inefficient hiring processes. Not having the right skilled workers for projects can undermine success and profitability. Skillit wants to ensure this is no longer the challenge that it has been.

Also, the numbers don’t lie: we found that a staggering 75% of qualified, interested workers weren’t getting a response from recruiters.

So why is this the case? Most recruiting teams were stuck using tools and workflows that don’t make sense for connecting with skilled craft workers. The tools are not built for hiring craft and they typically have no good way for craft workers to showcase their talents and skills. Also, they are built for email and desktops, not for managing the high volume of calls required in craft hiring. That’ exactly why our first customer-facing AI product was Sam - to ensure connecting with craft workers was seamless for recruiters. Now we built the Interviews Page to act as the command center for recruiting teams, giving them real-time visibility and control over the core workflow Sam is driving.

One quick note:

The Interviews Page only shows interviews scheduled through Sam on Skillit. Manually coordinated or off-platform interviews won’t appear here. Recruiters are encouraged to utilize Sam as much as possible, as this powerful AI-driven recruiting agent schedules interviews, manages all follow up and connects calls when the interview starts. It’s more efficient and successful than manual outreach.

Why this matters for craft worker hiring:

When you’re hiring skilled tradespeople, speed and clarity are everything. The Interviews Page helps you track progress, evaluate fit, and take action for each candidate, without slowing down.

Oh and one more thing...There’s a small surprise waiting when you mark a hire. 🎉
Because every successful hire deserves a little celebration. Happy sourcing!
